Lara Mohindra, a current sophomore at the University of Chicago Laboratory School, is the owner and founder of Perch with Purpose. She has always had a natural curiosity about the world around her and a deep appreciation for nature, especially the simple joy of watching birds and being outdoors. That connection grew into a desire to do something meaningful to help protect the environment, not just talk about it.

Perch with Purpose was created from Lara’s passion for problem solving and her belief that small, thoughtful actions can create real change. She designs and creates eco friendly bird feeders that allow people to support wildlife in their own everyday spaces. Giving back is central to her mission, which is why a portion of profits supports bird conservation efforts.
